Download the Saturday Morning Cereal Bowl Podcast here to hear the WORLD PREMIERE of "Spatula vs. Sun" (which includes an always awesomely curated kindie music lineup and a unique custom-made-for-Saturday-Morning-Cereal-Bowl-intro to the song!)

And below is the official single for download which is available on CD BABY, iTunes and Amazon, Spotify, etc.

Song Description (to be read in “movie voice”):
"Spatula vs. Sun" is the tale of a colossal afternoon backyard battle, an inanimate showdown of epic proportions, the stuff of which legend and lore are made. Spatula, a plastic loner, wanders out the kitchen and into the chaos of the wild wild lawn. Amidst the depths of the unfamiliar, Spatula meets Sun and his army henchmen, Ninja Ants and Hose. Summoning the muses of surf and spaghetti westerns, Mista Cookie Jar & the Chocolate Chips have forged with strings, pulse, drum, and electricity an audio testament of survival that shall be remembered forever in the records of myth so long as the human race exists...or at least until dinner time.

“Spatula vs. Sun” is the 9th in a row single-a-month release in anticipation for the Mista Cookie Jar & the Chocolate Chips 3rd album (date yet to be determined).

Instruments:  Castanets, Cajon, Marching Drums, Electric Guitar, Bass, Drums, Synth

Spatula vs. Sun!
Spatula vs. Sun!

From outer space the sun blazed down.
Sun's ninja ants they swarmed the ground.

Sun wanted reign of the backyard
but there was one plastic punk!

Spatula scowled, then food was flung
distracting the ants with cookie crumbs.
The war was on!

Sun's henchman the garden hose snake
spat waves blasting crumbs out the way.
Then the ants launched their thousand-leg attack
but guess who surfed the waves swatting back?!

Spatula vs. Sun!

The ants and the hose succumbed and napped.
From whence he came, sun slithered back...
Spatula won.

"Time for dinner….have you seen my spatula!?"
